- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Preparation
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Step 2: Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, eggs, onion, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and 1/4 cup ketchup.
- Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.
Step 3: Shape the Meatloaf
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking sheet or loaf pan.
- Shape it into a loaf, pressing gently to form an even shape.
Step 4: Add the Topping
- Spread 1/4 cup ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 5: Bake the Meatloaf
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing to allow the juices to redistribute.

- Slice the meatloaf and serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side salad.
