Luxurious Beef Pasta in a Creamy Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced into strips
- 12 oz fettuccine, penne, or your favorite pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Extra Parmesan for serving
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Sear the Beef:
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the Cream:
- Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for 5-6 minutes, allowing it to thicken. Season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
- Combine Beef and Pasta:
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to coat in the creamy sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve your desired consistency.
- Serve:
- Serve the pasta in bowls, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
