Cheese Ball Delight with Pineapple and Pretzels

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, well-drained
  • ½ cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ cups chopped pretzels or pretzel sticks (for coating)

Optional Garnishes:

  • Additional pretzel pieces
  • Chopped parsley

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, drained crushed pineapple, bell pepper, onion, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the Cheese Ball:
    • Scoop the mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap. Gather the wrap around the mixture and shape it into a ball. Refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours or until firm.
  3. Coat the Cheese Ball:
    • Once firm, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the chopped pretzels, pressing gently to coat evenly.
  4. Serve:
    • Place the cheese ball on a serving platter. Garnish with additional pretzels or chopped parsley if desired. Serve with pretzel sticks, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.

Tips:

  • To avoid soggy pretzels, coat the cheese ball right before serving.
  • For a sweeter twist, add 1-2 tablespoons of powdered sugar to the cheese mixture.
