Creamy Caramel Pudding

Ingredients:

  • For the Pudding:
    • 2 cups milk
    • ½ cup sugar
    • ¼ cup cornstarch
    • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk (optional, for extra creaminess)
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 tablespoons butter
  • For the Caramel Flavor:
    • ½ cup sugar
    • ¼ cup water
  • For Garnish:
    • Chocolate sprinkles (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Caramel:
    • In a saucepan, heat ½ cup sugar and ¼ cup water over medium heat.
    • Stir until the sugar melts and turns golden brown.
    • Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Pudding:
    • In another pot, mix milk, cornstarch, and condensed milk (if using).
    • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
    • Add the prepared caramel to the pudding mixture and stir well.
    • Remove from heat and add vanilla extract and butter. Mix until smooth.
  3. Assemble and Chill:
    • Pour the pudding into a serving dish or small cups.
    • Let it cool slightly, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • Before serving, sprinkle chocolate sprinkles or cocoa powder on top.
    • Enjoy chilled!
