Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 (21 oz) cans strawberry pie filling
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Layer the Pie Filling:
    • Spread the strawberry pie filling evenly across the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Prepare the Cheesecake Layer:
    • In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the pie filling and gently swirl it with a knife.
  4. Add the Cake Mix:
    • Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the top of the pie filling and cream cheese layer.
  5. Add the Butter and Optional Topping:
    • Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix, making sure to cover as much as possible.
    • If using almonds, sprinkle them evenly over the top.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the cake cool slightly before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
